Posted by Dean on February 22nd, 2010 Our infant pajamas that we sell in the store were going to be on sale over the weekend and we anticipated a lot of people. It seems that any time you have a sale on any baby item, it draws in big crowds. We had to schedule more workers and just make a plan of who would be where in the store to cover the crowd that we were expecting.
I had been put in charge of being in the girls pajamas department of the store since usually even if people are looking only for infant pajamas, they will wander around the rest of the departments of the store to see what else they can find on sale.
I looked over the sales flyer that had the infant pajamas in them and could not believe that they were being offered for forty percent off. The staff had to put some of the more expensive brands back in the stock room, and now I can see why. The more expensive brands would never be sold at such a big discount at any time.
I did notice that in the girls pajamas department, they did have a few sales planned too that seemed to be really good and I figured that people might actually come in for just those sales too.
Posted by Dean on February 9th, 2010 Our cleaning products were starting to run low and we still had not found a new supplier. Our supplier decided that they were not going to continue running their business that had been losing money for the past six months and closed the doors without telling any of their customers.
The day that was our scheduled delivery day, they just did not show up and we called and found out that their phone had been disconnected. After contacting a few other businesses that we knew used them, we found out that they had gone out of business. I wonder if they want the money that we owe them, since we do not know where to send it and there is no one to call.
One of the businesses that we talked to about the old cleaning products supplier gave us the name of a website where they had decided to switch to. I checked it out and found that they also offer some very nice affordable safety supplies and if we go with them, we can get our safety supplies and our cleaning products all from the same place. We are having a company meeting to have everyone vote on the matter and see if anyone could come up with a better solution or company to hire.
Posted by Dean on February 2nd, 2010 I have always wanted to work for a big website company and I finally got my chance last month. I was hired by an SEM service Raleigh company that helps people get their sites ranking well and show up on the search engines so that their sales can improve. I saw some names of big corporations on the desk and assumed that they were clients of them. Little did I know that they were just studying how those companies got to rank so well over all the little guys and trying to duplicate it.
I did not care, when I told people that I worked for an SEM service Raleigh company and what they did, they all would look at me like I was really a big smart computer brain. I only got to work for them for two weeks, since they filed bankruptcy shortly after hiring. I guess their old secretary knew what was going on and quit right before I got the job.
It is okay, I have an interview for one of the big social networking service Raleigh companies that has been in business for ten years. I have heard tons of good things about them and am quite sure that they will continue to be one of the biggest and most profitable social networking service Raleigh companies for a long time to come. If I get the job, I am not fearful of losing this one only a couple of weeks in.
