My Old House Had Replacement Windows Because of an Energy Tax Credit
Home & Garden September 2nd, 2009I was so excited to drive through my old neighborhood and show my children the house I grew up in. The houses looked so different. I stopped in front of the home that I had lived in when I was a child. I noticed that it had new replacement windows and someone had painted it white. When I lived there, it was brown. I noticed someone in the garage and went to ask them if I could give my kids a tour of the house. The gentleman that lived there said that he would not mind, so we went in.
I could tell that he wanted to be our tour guide and so I started asking him some questions like when they had put in the replacement windows. He told me that his brother had told him about an energy tax credit you could earn by putting in replacement windows so he decided to do it about eight months ago. He said the energy tax credit was a great reason to improve the house.
He gave us a twenty minute tour and answered all of the questions that the kids had. It was great to be in my old room but it had been turned in to a home office and looked completely different. I drove away thinking how nice the replacement windows looked on my old house.
