Flange is basically a projected collar that is window as an adhesive or strengthening material between the frames and panes of the vinyl replacement windows. It depends a lot on flange when it comes to the looks of the vinyl windows. 

Usually flange is integrated in to the slider vinyl replacement windows. The readily available one in the market is of two colours, almond and white. Now with the integrated flange, the colour of the edge of the window and the flange colour are mixed, thus give it a wide same colour look. This is the basic design and can be used on those windows that are usually on the interior part of the house, like the bathroom windows. The flange in this case is simple, one colour with not much of ornamentation.

For bedroom, living room or kitchen windows, you can use the more decorative variety of flange. This will give a completely different and stylish look to the windows. This flange has an advantage over the previous one; because the edges of the flange are not simple straight line instead they are curved to make a nice design as if carving is done. Though in this type of flange also the colour choice is limited to two, white and almond but with this slight design, it makes a lot of difference to the overall look.
