Around the first week of August the biggest and most famous fest of Oregon campgrounds, Oregon Dune Fest, is being held at Winchester bay. The days are marked with races. In these races there are many events covering almost all the ages. The famous races are, moto-racing, dune drag racing, relay racing and barrel racing. There are many activities which are specific to children. Treasure hunting and digging the dunes are the most liked children activities. 

Then the night comes with all its glory. Bonfire, concerts and dancing fill the place with electrifying entertainment. ATV auctions are also held around this time to raise money for charity. 

The Oregon dunes national park is another recreational place worth visiting. It is a small part of Oregon recreational area. The Oregon dune park is the best place for outdoor games. Biking, hiking sand boarding are the typical pastimes seen here. To get taste of transportation entertainments there are OHV and horse riding trails. 

The Oregon national dune park is the home of many beautiful species of birds. There are also very rare breeds of birds can be found here. Wildlife also adds to the beauty of park. Many RVs and tents are found in Oregon camping dune area.
